Preparatory Course GCE 'O' Level

Overview


The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level- Academic), or GCE ‘O’ Level in short, is a recognised qualification in Singapore that is designed to prepare students for academic progression and equip them with the skills necessary for employment.

The course is designed based on the examination syllabus provided jointly by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES), the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) and the Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE). This qualification is recognised by local academic institutions and employers as an indication of quality in the syllabus and assessments.

Most of the lessons are conducted in classrooms face-to-face or laboratories. Some lessons are conducted through IT (Powerpoint presentations). Occasionally field trips, excursions, inter-class competitions, etc are organised for the students.

Assessment & Awards


To prepare the students for the formal assessments, the College will conduct internal assessments to test the students via written tests, oral tests, and practical examinations.

  • Final Assessment is conducted by Singapore Cambridge GCE
