Lecturers - Hospitality Programmes

Position: Lecturer - (Hospitality Programmes)

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and delivery of efficient and effective student learning in subject areas that are specified and delegated.

Specific duties for the lecturer will include the following:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering units within designated programmes at diploma and advanced diploma levels within the broad subject areas in accordance with the defined curriculum
  • Providing learning support and guidance to students through individual counselling
  • Designing, developing and leading course units
  • Setting and marking exams papers, as well as coursework and other forms of assessments and provide effective feedback and guidance to students
  • Actively participate in the development, leadership and marketing of our programmes and in the recruitment of students
  • Making preparations for classroom teaching, i.e. work materials to be prepared effectively, lesson plans to be recorded, etc.
  • Planning activities for Field trips and participating in it.
  • Enforcing positive discipline practices

Requirements:

  • Candidates should posses at least a Degree in Hospitality / Hotel Management or related discipline
  • Additional recognized ACTA certified or equivalent are an advantage
  • At least 3 year(s) of industry working experience and 1 year of teaching / training experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Only Singaporeans / Singapore PR should apply
